HOW TO PAY ONLINE

 

  • Click on the "Click here to Pay" button from the official website (https://myhmc.in)
  • Select Appropriate Options On the homepage, choose: "Property Tax Online (Citizen Entry)" District: Howrah ULB: Howrah Municipal Corporation
  • Enter Your Property Details (Choose Any One Option) By Holding Number: Enter Ward Number, Location/Street Name, and Holding Number If your property includes a part (e.g., 1ST FLR-101), enter it in this format: Holding Number (PART-1ST FLR-101) Example: If Holding No. is 1 and part is 1ST FLR-101, enter: 1(PART=1ST FLR-101) Click Proceed: By New Assessee ID: Tick the checkbox "Search by Assessee ID" Enter the Assessee ID printed on your latest Property Tax Bill Click Proceed
  • Quick Access via QR Code A QR Code is printed on the top right corner of your Property Tax Bill Scan it using any mobile QR code scanner or app You will be redirected directly to your property's tax payment window
  • Make Payment Review your property tax details Select the applicable quarters Follow on-screen instructions to complete payment through the BillDesk Payment Gateway using your preferred digital payment method (e.g., UPI, Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, etc.)
  • Confirmation & Receipt A confirmation message will be sent to your mobile number provided during the payment process You will be redirected to the Payment Receipt Page, where you can download or print your receipt for future reference
  • Important Notes: Payments are first adjusted against previous outstanding dues up to the due date of the current payment. The tax and arrears displayed are calculated based on records available up to the 4th Quarter of FY 2024-2025. Any unpaid dues from earlier periods remain recoverable from the assesse and may reflect in future bills. Additional charges (if applicable) may include: Supplementary Bill Amount, Recovery Cost (u/s 159(A), Sub-section 9, Service Charges and other statutory levies Assesses with a GR Advance Amount in the Demand Bill are requested to collect the Advance Adjusted Bill Receipt only from the Tax Collection Counter at their respective Borough Office or at the Collection Department of HMC Assesses who have already made full payment up to FY 2024-2025 and possess valid payment receipts, but are still seeing outstanding dues for 4th quarter FY 2024-2025, are requested to contact the Assessment Department or Collection Department for correction and adjustment before making any further payments. A few selected Holding Numbers have been changed where it was found that the same holding number was assigned to multiple assesses on the same street and ward. Letters have already been issued to the concerned parties regarding these changes. In some cases, two different Assesse IDs were assigned for the same holding number on the same street within the same ward. Letters have been issued to the affected assesses. Their bills will be generated only after receiving written confirmation about the correct Assesse ID from their end. If any assesse wishes to receive a break-up of the accumulated outstanding amount shown in their bill, they must submit a written application to the Collection Department of HMC Visit Help Desk of the Assessment Department at Howrah Municipal Corporation or call at Helpline: +917001531503

This transformation not only fulfils a long-standing demand of the citizens of Howrah for modern, digital services, but also ensures a more transparent, hassle-free, and citizen-centric system.

The present HMC administration is implementing key reforms in urban service delivery to achieve qualitative excellence, aimed at making daily life in this historic city more comfortable and responsive to the needs of its residents.
